Jim has over 35 years of experience in brokerage, acquisition, entitlement, and disposition of commercial land and has expanded his office into the residential sector in New Smyrna Beach, FL. This division of the Kern Company is managed by Sarah whose passion for residential sales is evident in her growth of the company.

Kern took over The Kern Company in South Florida in 1996 and has over 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate business specializing in commercial investment and brokerage along the East coast of Florida. Jim has developed a significant investment business as a principal. His years in the real estate business as well as his affinity for building new businesses and close relationship with his daughter lead Jim to open his residential brokerage in New Smyrna Beach, FL.

Sarah grew up in Miami, FL and has worked with the Kern Company for several years as both an intern and, as of recent, an assistant project manager and licensed sales associate. With the guidance of her father, Jim Kern, she has grown up in and around the real estate industry in both the commercial and residential sectors. Having a close personal and professional relationship with her father, Sarah chose to enter into the real estate industry on his team and begin a residential branch of the Kern Company in New Smyrna Beach, FL.
